İstanbul Dragon Festival

2008 Istanbul Dragon Fesitivali, Golden Horn, 30/31 May 2009.

It is with pleasure that I write these words of congratulations from the
International Dragon Boat Federation - IDBF, to the organisers of the 2nd
Istanbul Dragon Festival. Whilst there has been some Dragon Boat Racing in Turkey
over the past few years, it is the enthusiasm and vision shown by Hakan
Yavuz and his Team, in staging the Istanbul Dragon Festivali, that has introduced
the sport to a wider and much bigger audience of sports enthusiasts and as a
result the IDBF has been happy to welcome the Dragon Festivali as an IDBF
Affiliated Dragon Boat Festival .

Dragon Boat Racing has a history stretching back more than 2000 years to
Sounthern China. Through the IDBF and now the Istanbul Dragon Festivali, the
culture of the Dragon Boat has spread to over 60 Countries worldwide, including
Turkey, with World Championships and Continental Championships held regularly
around the globe since 1995.

One of these championships is the IDBF World Corporate & Community
Championships – Wcorcom, which is designed for the 'weekend warriors' from businesses
and the community at large to take part in and for which crews from the
Istanbul Dragon Festivali are ideally suited and can take part in. Dragon Boar
Racing as well as being a great social sport, is also good for the general
health of the competitors and is a sport that can bring benefits to the whole
community, through working together as a Team with a common objective.

The 2nd Istanbul Dragon Festival on 31 May 2009, in the Golden Horn, will be
a much bigger and better event than previously, with more supporting events
staged to attract tourists to the competition site and to give them fun and
excitement as well as great Dragon Boat Racing to watch.

The Istanbul Festival will also be out to attract International crews too in
2009, as for them the thought of racing dragon boats in the Golden Horn,
against the back drop of Istanbul, with its great depth of culture and history
to explore, is a wonderful attraction to them, as both competitors and
tourists.

I am sure therefore that the 2009 Istanbul Dragon Festivali will be a
resounding success and I wish the organisers and the competing crews every success,
as well as the hope of meeting with them during the event itself.

Festivale Büyük İlgi

Festivale iki ay gibi bir süre olmasına rağmen 40'a yakın firma 50'nin üzerinde takım ile kesin kayıtlarını yaptırdılar. Bu sene festivale yeni katılan isimlerden Yapı Kredi, Pirelli, Kanyon ve Canon gibi birçok kurum ile katılımcı sayısı şimdiden geçen yılın rakamlarını geçti.

İşte Yüksek Sadakat Konseri 30-31 Mayıs Haliç'te

Son yılların popüler rock grubu Yüksek Sadakat Kapanış konserinde bizlerle beraber olacak. Sporcu kişilikleriyle de dikkat çeken grubun solisti Kenan Vural aynı zamanda festivalin şarkısının bestecisi. Dragon boat u spor olarakta yapan gurup mükemmel şarkıları ile Haliç'i sallayacak gibi görünüyor.

Festivalde Şık Katılımlar

Bu sene festivale oldukça şık markalarda katılıyor. Vakko, Stefanel ve Tiffany markalarının takımları bu sene ilk defa katılacakları yarışlarda oldukça heyecanlı bir ekiple hazırlanıyorlar.

Festivalde Perküsyon Şov: Engin Gürkey

Perküsyon ve vurmalı çalgıların uluslararası ismi Engin Gürkey ekibi ile beraber festivalde iki gün süresince yarışmacılara ve tüm davetlilere unutulmaz anlar yaşatacak. Dragon boat üzerindeki davullar ve müthiş perküsyon şovundaki seslerin birbirine karışacağı organizasyonu sabırsızlıkla bekliyoruz.

Oracle Firması Dragon Festivalinde

Hepimizin yakından tanıdığı ORACLE firması bu sene Dragon Festivaline katılacağını duyardı. İş dünyasındaki rekabet gücünü parkurlarada yansıtacağını belirten firma bu yılın yarışına sıkı hazırlanma niyetinde....

Meke'nin Hedefi Büyük

Türkiye’nin “Deniz & Kara Kirlilğine Müdahale” de sektöründe lider olarak çalışmalarını sürdüren Meke ekibi bu seneki festivalde kaptanlar ve meke çalışanlarından kurulu takımları ile şampiyonluğu hedefliyor. Geçtiğimiz sene sadece bir antrenman yapmalarına rağmen yarışlarda 7. sırayı alan ekip, bu sene daha fazla takım ve daha fazla antrenman ile festivalde kendisinden söz ettireceğe benziyor. Geçen sene festival sırasında deniz temizliğinde kullanılan gemileri ile güzel bir şov yapan Meke ekibine başarılar.

We are pleased to share with you the news that we have been waiting for one year. We would like to inform you that the festival that has been organized for the first time last year is being organized for the second time this year in Halic on the dates 30th -31st of May, 2009. According to the information that has been given, the number of competitors will be more than 2000 this year, so it can be foreseen that there will be more exciting performances compared to last year. If you give importance to the team spirit and think that you are a good team then this race is just for you. Pimapenin Almanya başarısı

Geçtiğimiz sene festivalin şampiyonu Pimapen takımı, Almanya'da yapılan uluslararası festivale katılarak ülkemizi çok iyi şekilde temsil etti. Farklı bölgelerden gelen 94 takım arasından 13. lüğü kazanan Pimapen mücadeleci yarışları ile festival alanının ilgi odağı haline geldi.

Havelsan işi ciddiye alıyor

Havelsan Dragon Takımı işi ciddiye aldığını kendilerine dragon boat alarak gösterdiler. Ankara'da düzenli bir şekilde çalışarak yarışlara hazırlanmayı düşünüyorlar. Gerçek bir takım ruhu içerisinde firmanın farklı departmanlarından birçok dragonboat sporuna gönül vermiş çalışanın kurduğu takım yarışları kazanıp yurtdışında yapılan uluslararası yarışlara katılmaya kararlılar.
